Merry Christmas, and Happy Advent! The word Advent comes from the Latin word adventus, meaning “coming, or arrival”. In generations past, Christians would use the season of Advent as a time of prayer, fasting, and contemplation. Yet, in our present-day busyness of holiday distraction, how can we truly cultivate an eager anticipation of the Lord’s arrival?

We pray that this issue will encourage women to be still… even if it’s just for a few quiet moments while the baby rests, or the dinner is in the oven, or we are winding down for the day. Be still….and wonder at the coming of our Lord! Contemplate with us, pray with us, and prepare for the holy Day of Christmas!
