Kosmeo exists to encourage women artists to share and express their faith through creative works. We publish short works of fiction and non-fiction, as well as poetry, music, visual art, and more.
Each of our issues is based on a scriptural theme, so when you submit, please include a brief note explaining how your work relates to the theme. Please check our themes page for the concept and scriptures of each issue.
Submission Guidelines
Prose:
Send 1-2 previously unpublished essays or articles (2,000 words or less), flash fiction (1,800 words or less), or short stories ( under 5,000 words please), in an attached Word document.
Poems:
Send 1-2 previously unpublished poems, any style or length, in an attached Word document.
Music:
Send 1-2 songs. If you wish to share your song as a free download, send it as an mp3 file or a youtube link; if you do not wish to do so, please send your song as a Soundcloud file.
Artwork:
Please send a photo of original artwork as a JPEG file, along with a description of materials and medium used.
Other:
If you have some other creative work not listed here that you would like to share, please send us a query letter.
Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please notify us as soon as possible if your work is accepted elsewhere. Once your work is submitted, you should hear back within 3-4 weeks. If you do not hear back from us within that time, you can assume that we are unable to use your work, and you are free to submit it elsewhere.

Please also include a brief third-person bio and a photo of yourself (JPEG if possible) for the author’s corner.
