This silk painted wall art began its life as a hand-painted silk scarf. I used the technique of gutta resist to create a piece of wearable art. Several years later, I experimented with a new way of using silk painting to stretch it on a frame so it could be hung on a wall. I decided to repurpose a silk I’d already painted rather than painting a brand new one. As I gave new life to this work of art, so the Lord Jesus Christ in a much grander way has given new life to us.
